Our Invitations and Design
Our amazing friend, Kelli, is one of the bright minds behind Studio Kander and kindly offered to help us with our invitations. We couldn't be more thrilled with the result and hope it brought a smile to your face when you received it.
We are incredibly fortunate that one of our dear friends is a wedding officiant and pretty darn good at it. We can't wait to hear the amazing words of love and support he'll share at the ceremony (bring some tissues, folks!). See more about Jarrod and Liz's company, Rev It Up here.
One of our good friends is also the man behind Jeremy Lawson Photography. While we're making sure he gets to be a guest at our wedding, his associate Braxton will be the man behind the camera. Give him a big smile, or funny look, just don't run away. We want lots of great photos to remember the day and your company.
Braxton hard at work trying not
to get run over during our engagement
DJ Jena Nixon of Gold Noise DJs will be on the one's and two's. There will be no chicken dance, but (if you ask nicely, maybe a cha cha slide) the music will be epic. We promise. [some people may be requesting crazy music, say, by Nicki Minaj; Jena will be there to regulate and make sure we all have a great time]
Our Space and Food
We will be getting married at Ravenswood Event Center at 4011 N. Ravenswood Ave in Chicago. It's a beautiful, Chicago space and just happens to be down the street from the site of our first date, O'Shaughnessy's. It's located near Sara's old neighborhood and convenient for all of you. It's around the corner from the CTA Brown Line Irving Park Rd. stop if you're taking public transportation. There's also ample street parking (and free!) in front of the venue.
We'll be having the ceremony and reception at this location. They have a wonderful menu and we can't wait to dig in to a delicious meal after all the formal stuff is done.
